Generating Notes
With AI enabled in settings, DNA drafts a note for the in-review version from its transcript and version context. Insert the draft into your notes box with the AI Insert Note shortcut, or ask for a fresh take with AI Regenerate. You can also have notes regenerate automatically when the version changes or new transcript segments arrive; both are toggles in settings.
Setting The Prompt
The note generation prompt is fully editable in the settings panel. Use template tags to control what the model sees: {{ transcript }} for what was said on the version, {{ context }} for the version's production context, {{ notes }} for anything you have already written, plus {{ glossary_global }} and {{ glossary_project }} for the glossaries below.

Glossaries
Glossaries are supplied alongside the prompt so the AI expands VFX shorthand and show-specific terms correctly. There are two: a global glossary of industry-wide terms maintained in the open-source repo (use the Contribute button in settings to open a PR), and a project glossary you can edit directly in settings for your production's own vocabulary.
