Who is the DNA app for?

The Dailies Notes Assistant app is a tool built for coordinators. Grounded in real experiences with note taking, the aim is to help rather than hinder coordinators with their work in the age of AI note taking software. We wanted to make something coordinators wanted to use, and could continue to make their own in an open, collaborative, consistent way. With many different note taking workflows, DNA and its various integrations provides a standardized home for dailies note taking in VFX & Animation.

How should it be used?

However suits your workflow! Whether a large facility, or small shop, with DNA's many settings and easy ways to toggle things on and off, we hope it can work with what you need.

Being open source, we're also hoping savvy technologists can feel free to build on and enhance what we have put together here.

DNA is by no means the final say on dailies note taking workflows! We expect a healthy conversation around how to make these workflows better, and more suited to our work in VFX and Animation.
